Common use
Synalar cream is used to treat various skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, allergies, and rash. It works by reducing inflammation, itching, and redness through its corticosteroid action.
Dosage and direction
Apply a thin layer of Synalar to the affected area 1–3 times daily, as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands before and after use, unless treating your hands.
Precautions
Do not use on broken or infected skin unless prescribed. Avoid long-term use, especially on the face or large body areas, to reduce the risk of side effects.
Contraindications
Synalar should not be used by those allergic to Fluocinolone or other corticosteroids. It is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or untreated bacterial skin infections.
Possible side effect
Common side effects include skin thinning, burning, irritation, or dryness. Prolonged use may cause hormonal effects, especially in children or when used under occlusion.
Drug interaction
While topical interactions are rare, inform your doctor about all medications you're using. Combining with other corticosteroids can increase side effects.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. Skip it if it’s almost time for your next scheduled application—do not double dose.
Overdose
